As much as I love dates, I don't love the bloating and upset tummy it causes me. This is very common with dried fruit so I usually like to make my bliss balls date free. They're so easy to make and are a delicious and healthy snack to keep in the fridge. I added a vanilla protein powder to these but if you don't want the extra protein you can simply leave it out.

RECIPE:
Makes about 10 balls
1 cup oats
1/2 cup raw cashews
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp hemp seeds
Plus coconut for coating
1️ In a high powered blender combine the oats, cashews and walnuts. Pulse to break down.
2️ Add the protein, peanut butter, maple syrup and seeds. Blend together until sticky. You can add a little water if needed.
3️ Use a spoon to section off small sections of the mixture and roll into balls using your hands. Roll the ball into shredded or desiccated coconut and press the coconut in.
4️ Place in the fridge to set and keep refrigerated for up to a week. Enjoy!
The texture of these will be a little more dense than the kind with dates and a little less chewy (just so you know what to expect) but I love the texture so I hope you do too.
