Have you ever tried making your own pizza base? It's actually really easy! It just takes a bit of time waiting for the dough to rise but preparing it is actually quite simple :)
I like my pizza quite simple so I kept this quite minimal with just a tomato base, some cheese and spinach. The cheese I used is the fresh mozzarella from local brand Hello Friends. It melted beautifully.

RECIPE:
This made enough for 1 pizza
1 1/2 cups plain flour 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp instant yeast 1/2 cup warm water
For the pizza toppings:
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 clove garlic, minced
Mozzarella cheese
Handful of baby spinach
1/2 tsp Italian herbs
salt and pepper
optional - sprinkle of pine nuts
1. In a small bowl combine the instant yeast with sugar and warm water. Mix and let it sit for 15 mins. Combine it with the flour and salt. Mix to form a soft dough. Knead for a minute or two. Brush the bowl with some olive oil and cover with cling wrap or a towel. Let it sit for 2 hours to double in size.
2. Once doubled in size transfer to a floured surface. Knead for about 5 mins until smooth. Roll it out into a circle or any shape you like. Go thin because it will still rise while cooking.
3. Add your toppings! I mixed the minced garlic with the tomato paste and then spread it out on the dough. With the spinach I added it at the last minute as to not overcook.
4. Cook at 200 degrees C for about 15 mins. Enjoy!
