Homemade Mars Bars are so easy to make and are super delicious. No baking required as these tasty treats are raw and made from healthy ingredients. They'll satisfy all your sweet cravings and you can add them to your smoothie bowls for a boost of flavour.
You only need 6 ingredients!

Recipe:
14 medjool dates, pitted 1/4 cup soy milk 2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup oats blended into flour pinch of salt Chocolate to melt over the bars
1. Prepare the date caramel first. You can soak them in hot water for a few minutes so they soften. Add them to a blender with the soy milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Blend until dates are broken down and the mixture is smooth. You may need to stop the blender and scrape down the sides and continue to nix. Add a little more milk if it's too thick. Transfer to a bowl.
2. Add the oats to the blender and mix until it's a fine flour consistency. Combine this with 2/3 of the caramel you made (leave the rest aside) mix together until the mix is sticky. Transfer to a rectangle container lined with baking paper. (This will make it easier to pull out later) smooth it out and place in the freezer for 15 mins to set.
3. After 15 mins, remove from the freezer and add the rest of the caramel on top. Return to the freezer to set (about 3 hours) then you can remove them and slice into bars. Run a knife under hot water to make this easier.
4. Melt the chocolate to coat the bars. I used a microwave to do this (I use 30 second intervals and stir in between as it will continue to melt once you remove it) let it sit for a few minutes to cool. To coat the bars, use a fork to hold each bar over the bowl and pour melted chocolate over the top with a spoon. Place them down on baking paper to set and then store in a container in the fridge.
Don't worry if the chocolate part is very messy, it was messy for me too :) Enjoy!
