summer smoothie bowl

You can't go wrong with fresh summer smoothie bowls on a warm day! You can enjoy these for breakfast, brunch, lunch or anything in between. Smoothie bowls are so simple to make, all you need is a couple of frozen bananas, your favourite plant milk, frozen berries and your favourite toppings.


3 cups frozen mixed berries

2 frozen bananas

1/2 cup almond or soy milk

Your favourite toppings - fruit, muesli, coconut, chia seeds, chocolate

1. Add the frozen bananas, frozen berries and milk to a food processor. You want to start with a little bit of milk at first and add more gradually. Start mixing until the frozen fruit is blended down and smooth, add a little more milk as you go until you reach a smooth, creamy and delicious looking consistency.

2. Divide the smoothie mixture between two bowls and add your favourite toppings. Get creative, add fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, muesli, coconut or even chocolate.

I like to prepare my toppings and cut up my fruit before starting to make the smoothie mix, that way it won't melt in between. Enjoy!
